Backyard Surprise.

This adorable couple invited all of their friends and family to join them at their backyard engagement party.  Surprise!  This little party was actually their wedding.  Looks like so much fun!  The bride wore her mother's vintage floral wedding dress.  We are swooning.  And can we please talk about those hanging florals?  We may have another DIY project to try out.

Carmel Valley.

We're taking a short departure from Mexico (we're still missing it), to feature a wedding in Carmel Valley.  I'm (Myka) getting married there in 1 month.  I can hardly believe it.   This wedding took place at Holman Ranch.  It's a beautiful venue that we looked at (but decided on a different location).  It's so exciting to see this gorgeous wedding in a little place we'll soon be visiting to exchange our vows.

The bridesmaid's dresses are so adorable with their ruffled shoulders.  And the bride's pretty blue eyes look killer in the last shot.  We are swooning.

One, Two, Three....Smile.

We love the idea of a photobooth at a wedding.  Such a fun way to get your guests to interact with one another.

You can rent this one from The Majestic Photobooth Company.

The SmileBooth from Our Labor of Love always produces some hilarious shots.  If you want a backdrop that really pops (like the one below), you've got to check out Ashley of Dolci Odille.  Her work is amazing.

But there's no reason this idea has to be limited to a wedding.  Why not rent or make a photobooth for your kid's birthday party, your bff's baby shower, a holiday party, your next corporate event...?

Creating a booth on your own doesn't have to be complicated.  One of our favorite weddings, used a piece of fabric hung between two trees to create an amazing photo backdrop.  The pictures are beautiful.

And don't forget to leave out some fun props for your guests.  Mustaches, hats, masks...there are endless possibilities.
