Paper, Papier, Papel.

Much like our love of ribbon, tissue paper is a cheap way to make a big impression.  When we spied the use of tissue paper all over Martha Stewart's pop-up wedding, we were thrilled.  Who knew that such an inexpensive element could completely transform a little place into a spectacular wedding venue.

We're also quite smitten with papel picados...in every color of the rainbow.

A boutonniere and a bouquet made of paper, are DIY projects with major impact.

Loving this idea of taking the paper outdoors.  It's unexpected and ohhhh so cute.  We definitely think this canopy exudes a dreamy overall effect.

Another simple DIY project, a tissue paper place card holder.

And of course, the infamous Martha Stewart pom poms.  They're used everywhere...from weddings, to birthday parties, bridal showers...the list goes on.  We can't help but still be in love with them.

Lighting.

The right lighting can add amazing ambiance to any event.  We definitely follow the philosophy that the light's "housing" should look equally as beautiful as the light it's emitting.  We have some of the below lights in our own homes.  Is it strange that it makes us so happy to come home at night and switch them on?  They are so pretty, modern, and whimsy.  We believe that if you love your home and it's contents so much in everyday life, why on earth wouldn't you incorporate some of these same elements in your wedding or next big event.

 When translating your favorite home look to your event, we suggest keeping your personal style in mind, while also taking note of your venue.

A glamourous glass chandelier used in an outdoor setting is unexpected in the best possible way.

Style Me Pretty {Jose Villa}

The use of a fancy antique chandelier against the backdrop of a rustic barn is further proof that opposites do attract.

And can you imagine this blossom branch inspired chandelier hanging over your next dinner party?  Our jaws dropped when we saw it's beauty.
